I've been wandering around looking at all the trailers and blurbs for new TV shows that are coming up, so I thought I'd share some of them.

Arrow, which is the Green Arrow TV series, only from what I gather they don't have the rights to use the name 'Green Arrow,' or they aren't willing to, or something? So no one's quite sure what else they can or can't show? I don't know. I'm kind of excited for it. That io9 link also has a clip from the new Beauty and the Beast, and a synopsis for the also new Cult with Matt Davis and Robert Knepper, which sounds confusing, but maybe interesting?

Last Resort, which has submarines, and conspiracies, and some Americans steal an island! I haven't really done much but watch the trailer, but it looks interesting, and everyone seems excited for it.

666 Park Avenue, which seems to be Devil's Advocate the TV series, about an apartment building owned by Satan (played by Terry O'Quinn.) Lol, the voiceover guy for that trailer is trying really hard. He seems to think it's a slasher movie.

Zero Hour, which apparently is about evil babies, nazis and frozen priests and stars Anthony Edwards. I've only watched the trailer but it looks like The Da Vinci Code meets The Exorcist....

Revolution, the J.J. Abrams show where all the power goes out, and then nothing electrical works any more. 'After 15 years of darkness, an unlikely group sets out to save the world.' I've said in a couple of other places that it has the potential to be interesting and mysterious. But it also has the potential to throw out a season of boring episodes where nothing much happens.

I need to have a mini rant about my personal pet peeve of the moment. Because I've been coming across it a lot in fic lately. Which is 'people's teeth clacking together hard when they kiss. '

Granted sometimes when it happens it's a little click and it's ok. Sometimes when you're getting carried away, maybe you can do it a little bit harder, or get it at a fairly harmless angle, and not completely ruin the mood. A big clack though, a clash, a smash, a smack and a crack, you're going to feel that, and it probably won't be sexy, IT PROBABLY WON'T BE SEXY. Please universe take this out of the 'sexy' bracket and put it back into the 'ow, my fucking teeth' bracket where it belongs.

I spent too long sitting cross-legged on my computer chair, went to get up and my brain only processed one of my legs. So I landed in a heap. Damn it, now I know how the QWOP man feels. Legs, how do they work?!

I still haven't seen the Avengers yet, because I spent all my money on computer games and soft hoodies in a variety of colours. This makes me sad :( I've been consoling myself by watching all the Tremors movies, you can't be sad while watching a Tremors movie. I did also find six Sandman graphic novels at the library at the weekend and brought them all home with me. I wasn't a fan originally when I was recced a couple of them, years ago, but I'm quite enjoying the ones I've got.

Also, Niko had his first fluffy last night, and he's been sprawled out on the warm side of his tank slowly digesting it since then. He's still quite small, but he had no trouble picking it up and waving it around as if to say 'my mousie, mine, you can't have it.'

Because it happens far too often - if you send me a message but have your messages set to private, have no entries and no email address. I'm not going to get back to you. Oddly enough.

My mum has started watching Once Upon a Time, and is finding it very confusing. She keeps asking who everyone is, and why everyone's doing what they're doing, and if Fairytale Land was 'in the past.' At the moment she just wants Snow White and Prince Charming to get together again, she doesn't really care about anyone else. I told her it had pretty high ratings and then she got all depressed and said 'that means they're going to drag the plot on forever, aren't they?' I think it's more fun than watching it myself. She's using Game of Thrones to tide her over. She likes the way the little castles and things appear in the credits.

I finally got my hands on Teen Wolf, which everyone has been reccing. I decided I needed it in my life. I shall start that when I don't have a million things to do.

Thought of the day: How many deaths/accidents/unpleasant things need to happen for a building/bridge/house to become notorious, a few, three, four? Or maybe just one really, really horrible thing?

Everyone is having thoughts about the new Doctor Who companion, so I thought I'd join in.

I've been busy since Friday being Commander Shepard (I always put two p's in that, even though I've seen his name a million times.) So yes, I thought I'd have Mass Effect 3 thoughts. I'll probably forget some of my important ones, since I haven't long finished it. But I'm going to try and garble most of them down in some sort of order.

The modern day, live-action Skyrim shorts have been amusing me immensely. Part One and Part Two.

I've been watching Eternal Law. The new series on ITV about lawyers who are angels. I kept seeing clips for it and it looked good, so I made a point to watch it when it came on. Mild spoilers...

I watched the pilot for 17th Precinct that was drifting around yesterday. Doomed to obscurity since it didn't get picked up for series, and there seems to be no intention to air it.

If you don't know which one it is, it's the Ron Moore show where Jamie Bamber and Gaius Baltar solve crimes with magic. Also Tricia Helfer was in it being a gorgeous necromancer too. It was interesting, and different (which they seem to be deathly afraid of) and a little cracky, and they would have had to watch themselves very closely to make sure they didn't skate right off the edge of their world-building. But damn I was enjoying it. How could they deny me Jamie Bamber and Gaius Baltar solving crimes with magic?! I would have watched the shit out of that.

That spell of silence was very clever, but I totally knew what that vision thing was the very first time I saw it.

So, I woke up and LJ seems to have been improved again. Oh, LJ, you keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

Improving my day immensely. There now exists, a trailer for The Hobbit. All my love, all of it.

ETA: Also, a teaser trailer for Sherlock season 2. YES.

So, the Avengers trailer, is up, everywhere now. I honestly have nothing clever, or witty to say. I just want it with every fibre of my being. I want everyone and everything ♥

I found a new thing, which I shall have an opinion on over lunch.

So, Marvel has been drinking my soul love in like a particularly flirty incubbus for the last few months.

I decided, screw it, I like comics, I'm going to poke my toes into the shark-infested waters of DC continuity (or not, depending on how rebooty the reboot actually got.)
