In which I review Blood Ties!
Pilots seem to lure me into doing review picspams, spoilers for the two part season opener....

I had to watch the second episode of Blood Ties, because it seemed wrong to just do a review on the first episode, which was the first part of a two parter and thus had only half the plot and half the characters!! So this pilot was extra long!

I have actually read the first book in the series, but it was quite a while ago. I didn't like it much but I'm not going to bring any of that here, mostly because my memory of what actually happened in the book fails me on most counts, but also because that's not really fair.

So Blood Ties!

But before I start there is one thing....

This show is filmed very strangely. It looks like it's been filmed through the bottom of a pint glass, smeared light, blurred scenery and unclear foreground. It's also very high colour but occasionally really, really dark, giving the impression it's been coloured in with felt pens. Wha? Is this a design choice?! Because it kind of sucks. I have to say I would absolutely love to see what they could have done with a clear copy of this show. Which is the reason I'm going to use as many promo shots as I can get away with because the caps make it look like it was made in the early nineties aren't always that good.....

Straight off the bat I love the theme tune for this show, the tone, tune and lyrics all work beautifully. I meant to go and find out who sings it but I'll probably forget.

This is Vicki Nelson, she's a PI. I love PIs, (or is it PD's, what's the difference between a private investigator and a private detective?!) Anyway, being a private investigator is a great way to be a cop in a series without actually being a cop and also being alone and broody and not having to do lots of paperwork, or wear an unattractive uniform!! Though they can still eat doughnuts if they want

I like her, she's feisty and independent without being annoying, she can clearly handle herself and doesn't need rescuing every five minutes. And unlike other TV cops seems to know when something fishy is going on and is appropriately cautious. So yeah, she's a pretty damn fine heroine.

She used to be a cop but she had to leave. Because she has a progressive disease that's very slowly taking her vision and thus she has to wear glasses, and looks pretty damn classy in them too. The promo people don't seem to think so because they never let her wear them for any of the promo shots. I'll make sure to show you her pretty glasses later!

Also she's played by Cristina Cox, and thus pretty! (she could probably even wear an unattractive uniform, not that she'd want to!)

This is Henry, he's a vampire (congratulations show on giving a vampire an age appropriate name!) He has pretty hair and thus I will forgive him his weird chin

This is him being all Vampire-y (vampire-ish?)

This is what Henry and Vicki look like together. Henry isn't very tall but it doesn't matter because he's a vampire (people were short in the olden days! This show is just full of randomly doing things right, and I have no idea whether it's an accident or on purpose!)

This is Mike Salucci, he's an actual cop. You can tell by the badge and the gun and the grimness! He's very good at looking grim and serious. Sometimes he looks grim and serious and quite delicious, and other times he looks grim and serious and demented.

And sometimes he looks a bit like Paul Gross in a blond wig!

Paul and Vicki used to date! This is what they look like together!

This what they all look like together and you totally shouldn't read anything into that

Vicki may not be a cop anymore but she likes investigating things, she feels compelled to investigate things.

So when some bloke is mugged/mauled/sexually assaulted/murdered (it's dark at the beginning so you can't actually see!) She runs across the street to help. She has one of those extending baton things that makes an especially cool noise when she flicks it open! So clearly she is still prepared to beat the crap out of bad guys if necessary!

But the bad guy flees! Like something supernatural.

Paranoid goth girl asks Vicki to find out who murdered her boyfriend. So Vicki gets herself attached to the case and its evidence by generally not taking no for an answer and bribing people with Chinese food. So far she is the best PI ever!

Mike doesn't protest very hard, I think it's quite hard to be authorititive with people that know what you look like naked!

Meanwhile Henry is having sex with a random woman

She gets a little too enthusiastic and Henry has to hypnotise her into going with his hypnotic vampire eye powers!!!!

Yep, that's pretty much all he does in his first scene but the hypnotising vampire eye powers will show up later so I thought I'd better mention them!

Meanwhile Vicki is trying to wheedle more information about the case. Mike uses his 'this is srs police business and I cannot share details with you' face

Vicki uses her 'I've seen you naked' face

We therefore learn a valuable lesson in the first episode. Mike has no willpower. Seriously you could probably get him to do anything, anything!

And the times when he does say no Vicki probably doesn't listen anyway.

This is about the part in the episode where Henry makes 'waking up' look like 'having an orgasm'

Way to make me laugh like an idiot be dramatically not dead Henry.

He goes out investigating too! I can't decide at the moment whether Henry likes investigating or whether he's on some quest to rid the world of evildoers. He had a flashback sequence after all, you usually only get flashback sequences if you're broody and there's someone in your past you're supposed to kill (or if you're Duncan McCloud, and then you pretty much live in your own flashbacks with a variety of silly hairdos!)

Later Henry's hand gets dramatically burnt by some sunlight! So no strolling about in the day for Henry!

Meanwhile in the villain part of the plot!

These are some nerdy guys! The guy on the right who looks about forty and certainly shouldn't still be at school is a frustrated and angry nerd, and also evil! He's an evil frustrated nerd.

And everyone knows when an evil frustrated nerd can't get the girl he will resort to black magic and the summoning of demons.

That's absolutely true, be nice to nerds or they will send demons to eat your face D:

Anyway he's been using his black magic to kill people!

And he cuts his hand so many times in the first episode it's amazing he has any nerves and tendons left to cut in the second!! Everyone knows that in demon summoning you cut the fleshy part of your hand not straight across the palm, you pillock!!

This is the evil cockney demon he's been summoning. A Cockney Demon!!! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the fact that the nerdy guy has done some sort of terrible occult ritual with blood and stuff and has called up a cockney demon. I want a cockney demon of my very own!!!

Because he's an evil demon he'd like nothing more than to eat the nerdy guy's face off! Nerdy guys is an idiot so you get the feeling that sooner or later he'll do something ridiculous and end up on the buffet menu.

In this case I'm absolutely rooting for the cockney demon!

Henry and Vicki end up investigating in the same place for a change!

Henry utilises his hypnotising vampire eye powers!!

Vicki is neither impressed nor hypnotised, and is pretty much GTFO! Also look at her pretty glasses, aren't they pretty!

Henry is all 'my hypnotising vampire eye powers DID NOT WORK!! He goes and beats up (then eats) some random club thugs to make him feel better (he doesn't eat them all up, they're still groaning afterwards!)

Then Henry and the Cockney demon have a fight! It's clear to me that Henry learned his fighting techniques by watching old episodes of Hercules....

I'd love to know who dressed the Cockney demon!? Because he's straying very close to Cockney Pimp!demon. But this show wins a  'Best use of a bowler hat in any show ever! ' award

Vicki gets knocked out trying to hit Henry, suggesting he is either made of marble, or she is just very clumsy.

Yes, I was briefly confused too.

Later, when Vicki wakes up they're at Henry's place and Henry is wearing her glasses...he's cute in them too!

This is the couch conversation of win. Henry is all 'Vampire! Mwhahaha!' Vicki is all 'WTF vampire?' And Henry is all 'let's team up and fight crime!' Best conversation ever!

Look at Henry smiling! I swear this guy is the smiliest vampire ever!

Henry uses some dialogue which probably didn't work on girls in the seventeenth century let alone the twenty first. We feel embarrassed for him....

Anyway when Vicki says 'yes, ok we'll team up and fight crime already!' we get flashbacks, in which Henry talks about a magic club he used to belong to that called up demons!

Including Marty Feldmen! an evil boggle-eyed flashback demon that Henry has history with ew not like that...I hope.

They figure this is related to frustrated evil nerdy guy. So they look for the Cockney demon using magic tricks.

Magic yay!

Henry is all 'magic is bad and evil and no good' and Vicki gives him the 'aren't you a vampire' face and Henry's face pretty much says 'yes but I'm a nice vampire.' Lol! Sure you are Henry.

Vicki is all 'I can see you in the mirror! WTF vampire legends YOU LIED!

It's probably a good thing because with Henry's hair not having a reflection would probably be a problem.

Anyway Henry goes to fight Cockney demon again, and pretty much gets his arse kicked.  I think the bowler hat has special powers, knock it off Henry!

But Henry gets sliced up enough that he goes all //faints dramatically// 'I need to feed' so Vicki obliges with some random part of her arm.

Just in case you hadn't twigged that this bit is supposed to be slightly dirty/have a penetration theme they put porn music over the top of it. I'm not kidding they do! Way to be subtle show.

Later they go to Henry's apartment and he plays dead for a while. Vicki molests him a little while he's dead and I don't blame her I totally would as well (he's not going to know, he's dead!)

It's just after this bit, she's checking to make absolutely sure.

I got distracted by half naked Henry and forgot where I was in the plot??

Vicki, Henry, paranoid goth girl and frustrated nerdy guy all end up at frustrated nerdy guy's house, in various states of sacrificer and sacrificee.

Nerdy guy manages to call up Marty Feldman the evil boggle-eyed demon, but Henry saves the day, with his giant book.

Frustrated nerdy guy gets eaten, but that's ok. He deserved it.

Mike arrives too late to rescue anyone and gets to look very confused and wave his gun around a little!

Henry is jealous of Mike....even though Mike has less pretty hair, looks grim a lot and isn't a vampire.

Next week there are zombies! And the possibility of a dirty threesome is brought up....

Verdict: Ok show, you've won me over, you have, I'll admit it. I'm not sure how you did it but you did! This show is ridiculous, and utterly silly at times, whoever is writing the dialogue (especially Henry's) should be whipped with branches full of leaves! But I really like it anyway, it's the fun sort of silly and the cast is pretty and funny, really funny at times. There were a few places where I burst out laughing and wasn't entirely sure whether I was supposed to or not! Everyone is slightly mad, in fact I think Vicki is the most sensible out of all of them and she spends five minutes molesting a dead guy! Oh crazy vampire PI shows never ever change!

I shall definitely watch more of it.

Zombies!

Blood Ties is sort of addictive I think too. I haven't watched all the episodes but the ones I've watched were pretty entertaining. I think Henry is a good vampire (although if somewhat whipped by Vicki ;))

It is, that's a good word for it. There's something enticing about it and its cast that makes you want to watch. I think if you don't expect high drama and just enjoy the show it'll give you what you want.

But yes! I did see the possibility for future whippage :) (and oh that sounded slightly wrong!)

Yay! You did a Blood Ties picspam! I watched the opening two parter and will admit, in a shamefaced way, that I loved it to bits. It's silly, funny and sexy in equal measures. It's also surprisingly true to the books (which are also silly, funny and sexy). I love the books. A lot of the little details in the show (like Henry being short 'cos he's from the 16th century, and the fact he wears - nay, flaunts - a crucifix)are lifted directly from the books, as are chunks of the (sometimes corny)dialogue.

Vicki is awesome and I love her. The bad guys are just plain weird! I'm reserving judgement on Mike for the time being. And Henry - well, Henry has really pretty hair and pointy cheekbones. They keep distracting me.

"This show is filmed very strangely. It looks like it's been filmed through the bottom of a pint glass, smeared light, blurred scenery and unclear foreground." - that comment made me laugh, as I noticed the same thing. I wondered if this effect is meant to be a clever reference to Vicki's visual impairment and eye disease. Then I thought, 'nah, that's way too subtle'. Then again, who knows!

I shall certainly be adding this to my 'must watch' list!

I did! :D A lot of people were telling me it was really, really good and I had to watch it (that was about the time of the Blood Ties Vs Moonlight debate) and then it came on actual TV where I could watch it so I was determined to review it in picture form. And I agree with you, it's completely indulgent and silly and vast amounts of fun to watch. I forgot the sexy though, because without doubt it is sexy, even when it's not trying.

It's been a while but I'm glad they snuck in books details that worked, it's always interesting when vampire stuff is historically accurate in an amusing way! But the dialogue is super corny. I think some things that work fine in a book just sound/look odd in live action. I don't think you can avoid that all the time. And to get a book into a pilot you're going to have to speed things up a little.

Vicki is very awesome! But I actually like weird bad guys, I think weird bad guys aren't used enough and this show looks like it could absolutely get away with it. To be fair Mike didn't really get much of a look in on the action in the pilot so he'll probably take me a while to warm up to. But yes I agree, Henry's cheekbones let him get away with an awful lot!

I wondered if this effect is meant to be a clever reference to Vicki's visual impairment and eye disease.

I wondered that too! But then I thought, would they do that? But yeah it does seem a little subtle for them....

Yep, the show is loony, yet strangely addictive exactly for that reason! I collect vampire novels, so I have the Tanya Huff books and adored them. Soooo much better less wtf than the Laurell K Hamilton books... *g*

If you've been getting the episodes via nefarious means, let me suggest the dvd rips on mininova. They are vob files, so will need to be burned back to dvd to watch. But the quality is sooooo much better.

This seems to be a popular opinion, I had fun watching it. I had fun with the characters, and letting stuff entertain you is awesome isn't it? I have a fair few vampire novels myself but I never went past book one of this series. I think I dropped it for The Dresden Files, at the time I was after something that strayed far more towards action than romance. And definitely devoid of the WFT-ery that LKH had become.

I actually haven't, that's the thing. It's on an actual TV channel and it's not much better quality than these caps, very strange (either that or they're giving us the rubbish copy!)

We have the problem with some of the tv stations over here. Thank god some of the digital stations are now offering HD... because my cable station is still in standard def! And not always good even then.

I'll see about capping a few shots from the burned dvd so you can decide if you want to go that way. My first exp of the show was from an avi which was horrible! Even at 350mb the copy was grainy and the colour was strange. The colour is still a little strange on the dvd, but at least it is in better focus!

That's the weird thing though. The channel is Virgin 1 and though it has an annoying amount of adverts its programs are usually fairly crystal. I suspect they have to be since it's showing so many of the new ones to snag viewers. It was just this show which seemed to be a not-really-that-good copy.

I'd like to see the quality you got if you don't mind, thank you! But yeah, that sounds exactly the same as what we've been watching (and my searching for caps and other things have given me the same quality too!)

I definitely remembering finishing the first one and thinking 'not a bad book but I don't want to read the series.' It's been quite a while so I'm not sure whether it was the Romance vs Action debate I sometimes have in paranormal novels or something else.

I suspect I shall have to pick it up again and try and find out why I didn't like it because everyone else seems to think it's awesome This is why I can't have nice things!

I will say, not being a massive fan of the books has probably made the tv show more enjoyable :P I watched it, but mostly going "oh noes! WTF?"

Henry isn't supposed to be cool, dammit. That's what makes him such a cool vampire...he's a ginger, short-arsed, bodice-ripper-writing royal bastard (literally). /rant. They got Vicki and Celluci right though.

I can totally understand that, because when you know every detail from the books then the TV series can't do anything but jar everywhere it's different. I got that really badly with The Dresden Files.

Oh gods I got it with the Dresden Files too. I thought they cast Harry perfectly and was expecting great things, and then every little detail just...ack. And it wasn't budget stuff either, I can understand Bob being a live actor not a crappy CGI effect, I know they're not going to be able to afford zombie T-Rexes. But why oh why does Morgan suddenly like Harry and protect him from his boss? It's the boss who frigging well likes Harry. Where the hell is Susan? Justin is his uncle? What? Hockey stick? Eh? I was a tiny ball of frustration curled up watching that show. (I do have it on DVD though, because Paul Blackthorne is totally hot I can cope as long as I pretend they're two different entities. Like Howl's Moving Castle) :(

I love book!Henry, his extreme lack of visible coolness makes him stand out. I was so disappointed to see the stereotypical brooding vampire character (although at least they kept him short). And the canon homosexual relationship was glaring in its absence *shakes fist at network*

Yes, agreed on all counts. But I'll admit though Paul Blackthorne is a special sort of tasty delicious he wasn't Harry for me, not visually or emotionally (that and the absence of the Beetle had me quietly despairing.) But yeah, I did exactly the same as you and just took it for what it was, something different, something new. (But god I would have loved a zombie T-Rex so damn badly!) Though as a side note I still haven't read Howl's Moving Castle and that was recced to me like a year ago!

I don't really remember book!Henry at all, so I can see that if I read this series after all it's going to be really weird! Though I am strangely distracted by Kyle Schmid's tiny hands!

And the canon homosexual relationship was glaring in its absence *shakes fist at network*

Yes that would be me missing stuff! Who's relationship is this supposed to be?

I can't believe I forgot about the blue beetle *hangs head in shame*. But then I seem to remember an interview where they said they originally did get a beetle but Blackthorne looked absolutely ridiculous getting in and out of it (which I kind of think is the point in the books, 6"5' + beetle ain't gonna be pretty, but apparently the Networks think it's hard to take a hero seriously when he doesn't so much get out of his car as have to try and stand up first and then remove it). And dammit yes, I want my zombie T-Rex *pout*

I can't even articulate why I love that book so much, I think it might have something to do with Howl being one of those rare lovable cowards (along with Falstaff, and Shaggy and Scooby, he's in rarified company) and a Drama Queen (and he does deserve those capital letters, unlike the movie version, who is a mere drama queen) but it's one of my I-feel-like-shit-so-I'll-reread-this-to-make-me-feel-better books.

The relationship was Henry/Tony, Tony doesn't even seem to exist in the show :( I could understand them altering his character a little (he is pretty clearly a rent-boy and an ex-junkie) but it seemed mean to cut him completely and put in that girl instead (she is in first book but as a minor character). In the book when Henry gets injured Vicki doesn't have enough blood for him to heal properly, so she finds Tony - who was an informant for her when she was a cop - and brings him back (causing lots of internal conflict). And Henry takes a shine to him (causing even more internal conflict). I guess maybe the PTB wanted nice clear UST and couldn't be doing with book!Vicki being pretty polyamorous in her outlook on life...

You forgot the blue beetle with the multi-coloured doors! shame on you! But yes, I read the thing where it said Paul Blackthorne looked vaguely ridiculous exiting a beetle (but to be fair this is a problem because they picked a guy who was fairly muscular and not a very thin tall guy.) The zombie T-Rex would have born so awesome, and now we'll never get to see it....

Well I love Dianna Wynn Jones anyway but I passed over her earlier books. Until someone told me 'don't do that! Some of her best are in there!' But you get so few Drama Queen heroes in books. I have to think Rincewind qualifies, though he's the more quiet, cynical 'everyone is going to die now!' Drama Queens.

Yes, that rings a vague bell, thank you! I know some people were quietly steaming over the way they neatly sliced out every hint of bisexuality from the books when they made the series. But I couldn't remember exactly what those bits were.

The PTB make their living out of all kinds of sexual tension I think, they just don't talk about it/admit to it/acknowledge that it exists....

I am truly ashamed of my forgetfulness *slaps own wrists*. I'm half hoping that a film producer will realise just what a cool movie Dead Beat would make, but then I remember the "can we have less Death in Mort?" fiasco and think better left alone.

My faves (with Howl, in no particular order) are Dark Lord of Derkholm, Power Of Three and the Chrestomanci books. I'm now trying to think of other fictional Drama Queens, I'm not doing so good, they must be a rare breed :P

Yeah, book!Henry's not bothered (as long as they bleed), I think in one of the short stories he actually hooks up with a djinn in a coffee shop at one point... I knew there was something else about Henry that bothered me in the show, it's not just the lack of Tony it's the complete lack of interest in 50% of his food source, doesn't seem logical for a vampire :P

The Beetle is probably the most glaring problem in the series though (maybe that's why you forget it, it was just too obvious, a great big Beetle blind spot!!) 0.0 They wanted less death in Mort? But, but there isn't that much death to start with and it isn't exactly horrible gruesome nasty death (well most of it anyway.) Damn those television networks and their general squeamishness in all regards!

I loved the Dark Lord of Derholm, that's definitely my favourite. It's true though, clearly Drama Queens only show up occasionally (though I'm going to have to through Harry Potter in there too, that boy is the biggest Drama Queen in the history of fiction, bravery streak or no.)

I have to agree, book Henry just wants to eat damn it! All this unecessaryness just makes him hungry! I wonder if Tony will show up somewhere eventually....

I think I must have repressed the lack of beetle... Yup, that's the way Pratchett tells it, everything was practically sorted for a movie and then he was asked to take Death out of it, which is sort of like Fawlty Towers without Basil Fawlty, but then that's apparently what the american networks tried to do with the american Fawlty Towers *face-palm*

Harry Potter = Drama Queen, definitely :D

Repression is a valuable tool when used for good. Seriously the way some people treat source material just boggles the mind, and someone needs to point out that if you take out the parts that people are most familiar with/love the best/have been reading about for nearly three decades there will be unhappiness and sulking (and it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye!)

John Carpenter's Vampire's is a prime example, the original book, Vampire$ is great. I went to the movie thinking wahay! And the first five minutes is the same and then everything goes to hell. Honestly, the plot is completely different, the only thing that's the same is the hunt at the beginning. It's not like, a couple of tweaks, it's a different story completely with virtually no other references to the source :(

I'm sorry, Howl beats out Harry as King of Drama Queens any day... Harry could be the Prince of Wailers though *hopeful grin*

I honestly didn't know John Carpenter's vampires was a book before it was a film. That's the film that will forever be the film that surprised me by demanding that I find James Woods ridiculously hot. I think it's a vampire hunting thing. But writing a different script completely is a bit of WTF-ery.

I now absolutely must read about a man considered a bigger Drama Queen than Harry Potter!

It might be more accurate to say it used the first scene from a book and then ran off in a different direction gibbering wildly...well, there are some similarities, but not that many... James Woods was quite tasty in that movie, I have to admit...

Put it this way, the closest movie!howl got to book!howl was when he got hysterical about his hair going pink and slimed the place... I think it's the Drama being over petty things that gives Howl the edge...

Hopefully there'll be some cool stuff on the new schedule :D

So it technically stole the plot of the book without actually using the book! That's not allowed surely. That's like basically saying 'well we like the title of your book, and the first chapter but the rest of it's rubbish so we'll make up the rest' *face of disbelief*

Wild dramatics over petty things is kind of hook if you want to be a super drama queen!

Some of the stuff that's starting sounds pretty cool. Though I'm still not sure which shows are going to be left with half seasons and which are going to be left/canceled!

I think they got away with it by using money and the magic words 'based on the book by'... I'm guessing the author wished they'd kept creative control because John Carpenter really pulled a Clan-of-the-Cave-Bear-number on it.

It seems like nowadays there's so many sci-fi/fantasy shows starting that you can only expect thirteen episodes... Not that I'm complaining about all the shiny new shows, but there's only so many hours in the day that so many viewers can watch TV...

I know, there was a period last year when almost nothing was getting picked up, so people were suggesting that you might as well just enjoy your 12-15 episodes and not expect any more. I'm usually just glad that they're still making a load of new ideas in the fantasty/sci fi genre. I love new ideas :D

lol, I think I've bought a few of those sequels XD

As much as I love the new ideas I find it quite hard to invest in something so short :( That's why I was gutted when the news broke about Ecclestone leaving DW, as much I loved Nine, I couldn't invest in him emotionally because I knew he'd be gone in a few episodes. It was like the entire rest of the season was tinged by a sense of 'hurry up and regenerate so I have someone who's going to hang around' which made me really sad because I liked nine!

I think I bought a few of them too (I think you should be able to demand your money back if something is rubbish!)

I don't mind the occasional splurge of short seasons, though I'm crushed we won't get lots more of the ones I love I usually collect them anyway. Because I think one short season is enough for you to sort of see where the shows going and what it's about. But yes, I think characters leaving are different, I liked Nine too, I loved the broken raw edges of him that disappeared with David Tennant.

I know someone who used to take CDs back to HMV because they 'were shit' and she always got her money back, but I never had the guts to try it :(

Mmm, I collect the ones that I love and tell myself to shut up, British telly only used to - and still does sometimes - make 6 at a time anyway so I'm lucky really (See my poor Robin of Sherwood oollection). TBH I think if Dr Who had returned with Tennant it wouldn't have been the success it is now, even though he was shortlived, Nine had that childlikeness (which isn't to say he couldn't do grumpy, he did an excellent angry) that made it all seem new again.

I'd never have the balls to do that but it would be awesome! Because the number of CD's I've bought that have turned out to be shit!

That's a good point British TV only does tiny seasons! A quarter of what American TV shows put out in a full season. So they get three seasons worth (they're spoiled obviously!) It's only the really popular ones that stretch to ten or thirteen episodes.

Do you know I'd never thought of it that way before but I think I agree with you. There was something really new about CE's portrayal that made way for Tennant's epic and insane enthusiasm and mad hair. But yes, I absolutely loved CE's angry Doctor too!

You're not watching it :O It is worth watching, if only for Henry's cheekbones, and the amusing cockney demon in his evil bowler hat!

Mike is kind of naughty looking actually (I kind of want to corrupt him, or make Henry do it for me?) And HOT VAMPIRE TOTTY IS NEVER A BAD THING

Why thank you! And every word is true! Honest!

Mmm, Vampire totty corruption. Sounds like fun.

We are so good at plotlineing. We should combine our powers.

I think they'd support Guy and Marion.

When I've buried you, with all your limbs attached, I'll make sure to do your gravestone.

We totally would, with our awesome pictures and plot!lining.

Blood Ties is a show that i just about die laughing every time I watch it. I really sorta love it a ridiculous amount. :D I'm not entirely sure where I left off, though I can tell you it's the second season. Problem is that it's on laaaate friday nights, and by the time I remember it's usually saturday or sunday. :P So i torrent usually, and I need to go check and see where I left off and catch up because Henry! Vicki! Unintentionally hilarious dialogue! Intentionally snarky dialogue! Corine who's really kind of lots of fun! Random and spastic use of exclamation points!

I'm done now.

I tend to suffer from random and spastic abuse of exclamation marks too so I wouldn't worry. Sometimes I even have two just so my English teacher can have conniption fits wherever she may be!! :D !!

But yeah, this show is so much ridiculous fun, the dialogue, the fight scenes, the way people look at each other! It's just hilariously entertaining in a way that's ridiculous and yet lovable! :D I usually catch up the day after because NCIS is on at the same time, but it's definitely won me over....
